God created you NOT like another.

Have you ever forgotten that you bought something and then bought the same thing again, only to find the first one you purchased? Maybe it was left in an obscure place. Maybe it was hiding in plain sight. Either way, you now have two of the same items that you probably don’t want or need.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation
Fortunately, we are not all the same. God does not see us as duplicate, unwanted items forgotten on a shelf. God created us to be unique, holy, and set apart for His purpose that He created for us.
Even though God created us as individuals with distinct gifts and abilities, we don’t always feel that way. At times society, social media or our own internal struggles compel us to feel as though we are lacking what we think we need to be special. We feel we are just another duplicate hidden among the mass of humanity.
God does not see us this way.
We are His children. When sin threatened to doom us to a life without Him, our Father redeemed us with the highest price He could pay, His son’s death on the cross. He won’t leave you on the back of a shelf to be forgotten. He knew you before the world began and remembers you each new day. He has a special unique place for you on this earth, planned even before you were born.
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
Philippians 1:6 New Living Translation
Don’t allow discouraging thoughts to occupy your mind and heart. Believe that God created you with singular gifts and purpose. Then live in that truth and never listen to the disparaging words that attack the core of who you are—a highly loved child of the Risen King!
“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”
