Nothing is Wasted

We are God’s children, and He works everything out for his plan and purpose.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Romans 8:28 New Living Translation

This world produces a lot of trash—268 million tons a year. That’s a lot, but there are no statistics about the personal waste we all experience in life. Sometimes we have thrown people, relationships, and time away. Sometimes we have been tossed aside like trash. Certain times in our lives might feel like such a waste. These experiences may have derailed us for a time, causing a lot of personal, painful garbage in our lives.

Thankfully, God never throws us away, and He never will. Our life experiences, good or bad, are never trash to Him. He is our mighty redeemer, and He is powerful enough to scoop up our trash in His arms and transform it into something glorious for us and His kingdom.

The wisdom and healing that comes from His walking with us through our difficult circumstances and painful memories will never go to waste. There isn’t anything that you have done or experienced that cannot be redeemed for His good. Nothing in your past or present is meaningless. God is always working something out in us for your good and for the good of others. Your story matters to Him. You may lead someone to Christ, encourage them through a difficult time or offer them hope where they saw none before. All through your past regrets, sadness and hurt. Everything really does work together for the good of God’s children, because He loves you and longs to restore your heart and your life.
