On Earth

As it is in Heaven

We are born on Earth and, at some point in that journey, will be aware of the pain and disappointment here. Some will live their whole lives going from pain to pain, but God says we can go from glory to glory, even while we’re living on earth.

“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18 English Standard Version

In order to go from glory to glory, we reset our minds to heavenly things, away from the earthly pull of pain.

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” Colossians 3:2 English Standard Version

We are currently citizens of heaven and though we are waiting on Christ, we can begin to live with heavenly principles now.

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” Philippians 3:20-21 English Standard Version

The pain will continue while we are here, Jesus promises that, but there is more to the story.

“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 English Standard Version

The Bible gives us examples of God being present on Earth, Jesus walking on Earth, and the Holy Spirit coming down and filling those that asked. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and the amazing testimony we read about in the Bible is possible today. The Lord’s prayer says, “On Earth as It is in Heaven,” and reminds us every time we meditate or read those words that experiencing heaven today is possible.

Celebrate your citizenship in heaven. This is the promise that God gives for right now. When we know this to the core of our soul, it changes how we see our situations and the pain we face in our life.
