Because God gave us His best and greatest gift in Jesus, our response should be a life of gratitude, worship, and wholehearted devotion.

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”

Black Diamond Watermelons are grown by farmers in Vincennes, Indiana who selectively produce them for a grocery store chain. Known for their sweetness and juiciness, they are often considered among the finest watermelons available.

When we deeply value someone, we naturally want to give them our best. In Scripture, the Israelites honored God by offering the best of their flocks and crops as sacrifices. These offerings reflected their gratitude to the One who faithfully provided for their needs and blessed them with His goodness.

God demonstrated the ultimate expression of love when He gave us Jesus as the sacrifice for our sins. In giving His Son, He gave us the greatest gift we will ever receive—both for this life and for eternity.

While we have nothing that could ever repay such a gift, we can respond by offering God our best: our worship, our work, our gratitude, and our commitment to follow Him faithfully. This does not mean living perfectly, but it does mean striving to honor Him with our lives out of love and thankfulness.

Continue using every gift, talent, and opportunity God has entrusted to you for His glory. He is the greatest Father, Friend, and Savior you could ever know. He loves you deeply and desires what is truly best for you. As you trust Him, He will faithfully meet your needs and bless you in ways far greater than you could ever imagine.
