Keep Going!

Some days are long. And some days are hard. Some days are long and hard. When those days stretch into weeks and then into months and so on, it’s easy to get tired and lose hope. Persistence is the name of the game at that point.

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
James 1:12 English Standard Version

Persisting: Continue firmly or obstinately in an opinion or a course of action in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure.

When I feel my circumstances closing in around me, I have two choices, give into them or persist. But persisting is not white-knuckling our way through, it’s the opposite. It’s surrendering the hardship to God, thanking/praising Him and letting Him strengthen us. He has already provided a way for us to persist, we just have to find that way.

“But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”
Matthew 24:13

I’ve started getting up in the morning to work out before my day gets in full swing, but my main objective is to worship first thing when I start my day. This changes everything! The situations that were weighing me down the day before are gone after I do my morning routine.

Just keep going, not in your strength, but in God’s.

    • Hi William! Jesus hears all of our prayers. He responds in different ways and times. Keep praying and forgiving. Don’t give up!

  1. Super valid reasoning that persisting means handing it over to God because He already has the way prepared. AMAZING!
