We are all uniquely created and called to love and care for each other.

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
John 13:34-35 New Living Translation

If you’ve ever been to an aquarium, you’ve likely seen some species of fish or sea life that you’ve never encountered before. There are millions of aquatic varieties, and more are being discovered every day.  And, depending on which ocean or sea you live closest to, there will be fish that are very different from other aquariums across the world. For these to live and thrive in this tank, great care must be taken to feed them with suitable, nutritious food, ensure the water they drink and live in is clean and to protect them from harmful predators.

Each one of us is as unique as all the creatures of the oceans. Even though we are all human, God made us to be special individuals with distinct and specific characteristics and traits. He also made us responsible for taking care of those we share this earth with, making sure needs are met, everyone is safe and secure and that each one knows that they have a Lord and Savior who loves them dearly.

So, when you see someone who is very different from you, even though you may not know anything about them or understand who they are, remember they were also created for a unique purpose by the same loving Heavenly Father who created you and takes care of you each day. We all live on the same planet, and God has entrusted each of us with caring for all His children.
