Remember My Name

Praise to the Lord who knows my name!

When I was a child, I would receive a cuddly cute stuffed bunny for Easter. I loved stuffed bunnies, so it was exciting to receive one each year. I would name, and play, with them until they were so worn out they needed to go to what was known at our house as “bunny heaven.”

A lot of time has passed since then and I don’t remember the names of my bunnies, but God remembers my name.

“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.”
Psalm 139:16

He has written my name, in His Book of Life, because of the glorious gift of His Son, sent to earth to conquer death, just so my name would be written there.

“All who are victorious will be clothed in white. I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine.”
Revelation 3:5

Know today that your name is also written there, by the One who died for you. Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Treasure that ultimate gift and never forget how much the Lord loves you! As you observe Holy Week, remember that all the events of this week happened so you are now able to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus.

Praise God for His glorious gift!
