Since Before the Dawn of Creation

We are blessed with the gift of a mighty power who existed before time began.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.”
Genesis 1:1-2 New Living Translation

The Holy Spirit is often overlooked in the Old Testament. It’s easy to forget that He didn’t first show up at Pentecost, when all the believers who had gathered together were filled with the Holy Spirit. He has been there all along, from before the very beginning of the world.

Yet the Holy Spirit has always been mysterious, much like these clouds that appear to be hovering above the water, as we imagine the Holy Spirit was over the earth, but they are just a reflection. We can’t see the Holy Spirit, or even understand fully who he is, but he is not elusive to us. The Holy Spirit holds many promises for our spiritual life, and wellness.

The Holy Spirit has untold power in our life. Scripture says he gives birth to all spiritual life. The power of the Holy Spirit helps us pray, even when we have no words left. He leads us in the truth of Christ’s words, and teaches us that truth each day. He gives us faith, confidence, and hope in Christ. He gives us love for others, and changes hearts and minds toward God.  All we need to do to is just ask Him to live in us. Just ask, and countless spiritual gifts will be ours to help us live life in Christ.

“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
Luke 11:13 New Living Translation

Pray for this power of the Holy Spirit. He has been there from the beginning, and He will be here for you for all eternity. Giving you wisdom, truth, and encouragement.
