“You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.”
Deuteronomy 14:2 New Living Translation
This is the time of year when children are excited to choose their pumpkins. A few may be picked directly from a pumpkin patch, some from a roadside market or some from a grocery store. Some children go for small perfectly round ones, others for medium-sized oddly shaped ones and others choose the largest ones they can find, even bigger than they are.
We are so blessed that God chose us to be his own special treasure. No matter where we came from, where we live, or what shape we are in, we are truly loved and chosen by the Almighty God. He will always provide for us and give us work to do that no one else can accomplish. We will never be left alone like the last pumpkin in the patch because we are children of a God that has chosen us from before He created this world. Today, give thanks and praise to your Creator and choose to love and serve Him always.
“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”
