I have thought and talked about God’s hands and how he touches us here on Earth. His hands are no doubt powerful, but they are also personal. The fact that we even discuss God having hands is an interesting point. Being a person, of course, it make sense that He has hands.

How does God touch us? God touches us intimately to change our perspective and even our path.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “Now, I have put my words in your mouth.”
Jeremiah 1:9 English Standard Version

God literally holds us up with His hands and helps us navigate through the hard parts of life.

If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
Psalm 37:23-24 English Standard Version

I had a dream where two hands appeared out of nowhere to stop me from doing something. I remember wondering whose hands they were and immediately knowing they were God’s. He cares so much for us he will even show up in dreams.

“Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God uses His hand in many ways, including when we evangelize or share the Gospel.

Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
Acts 11:20-21 English Standard Version

God’s hands are real and powerful. It can be comforting to know as we navigate through the muck of Earth that God’s hand truly is on us and is being used to plow a path. Our part is to ask for help and obey his instructions. He loves us so much He won’t ever leave us.
