“May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.”
Psalm 20:4 New Living Translation

The preceding months have tested our resilience and, in many ways, our faith to trust God’s love for us and His provision through any crisis or disaster. Hopefully, you relied on Him to see you through the difficult times and rejoiced in His many blessings amid the struggles.

Now that life seems to be returning to normal you might be considering what is next for you. Will you work from home, look for a new job or go back to school? Are you planning vacation to visit family you haven’t seen in over a year? Preparing for your children to attend in-person school? Maybe you will volunteer again at church or attend a Bible study with friends.

What’s next in your relationship with Christ? A strange question perhaps but, as you consider your future, it’s easy to get lost in the excitement of making plans when you weren’t able to for so long. Getting sidetracked from God’s plans and focusing solely on our desires is a prevalent occurrence for us believers. Maybe you’ve been praying for a change in a specific area of your life and Christ is leading you in a new direction that is causing anxiety. Or He is presenting you with a new, exciting opportunity you never imagined.

Will you take time to immerse yourself in His word? Pray for wisdom in planning your future? Spend quiet time listening to Him?

Commit your future to Christ. Don’t leave Him behind! He is the one true guide for your life, and His plans will always succeed. Remember you are living for God and His kingdom. Christ will bless your future as you abide with Him each moment.
