We are always on God’s mind, and in his heart.

Earlier this year, there was fun and laughter at a fellowship gathering at church. At the end of the evening, while we removed our name tags, one of us jokingly placed their sticky tag on a man’s shaven head. Pretty soon another did likewise, and then a third. It wasn’t long before many names were covering his head.
Your name is on God’s head – or, rather, it’s on his mind. He is always thinking of you. He is your keeper, a sentry who protects you from harm.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121:1-2 English Standard Version
In times of crisis, the threat of harm can be overwhelming, It is only human to wonder where God might be at a time like this? Does God really care about me in the grand universe? The answer is unequivocally “yes!”
You are always on God’s mind, and you are always in God’s heart. Each morning, the sun rises and the birds sing. I like to think of birdsong as one of the ways God reminds us of his constant presence. Jesus assures us that, as God cares for the sparrow, he cares so much more for us (Matthew 6:26).
Your name is written in God’s Book of Life. Jesus’ death and resurrection guarantee that for us. By defeating sin and death, we can live our lives knowing that, whatever happens, we will eventually be in eternal life with him.
“The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.”
Psalm 121:8 English Standard Version
Turn your heart towards God. He is right there with you. He always has been, and he always will be. Day and night, he watches over us all.
