God created everything in nature. His breath and words formed every plant and animal. Nature continuously reminds us who the Creator is.

“…the wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,”
Isaiah 43:20 English Standard Version

The animals and plants are aware of Who made them. They are obedient to the seasons and to God’s voice.

“On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.”…As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.””
Mark 11:12-14, 20-21 English Standard Version

The Bible is full of the obedience and awareness nature has of God.

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.”
Psalm 96:11-12 English Standard Version

Even the sky displays God’s handiwork.

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.”
Psalm 19:1 English Standard Version

If nature has no problem understanding that God is the creator of the universe, why do humans? We are the most uniquely made of all God’s creatures We are the only creatures that have been given free will to love, reject, accept, and hate. He created us to receive His love, but we are also able to reject the love He offers. This is the beautiful nature of God and His freely given love. Love is only free if it is able to be received or rejected.

This is the power of relationship.
