Lead Me to the Rock!

There is no rock like our God!

If you’ve ever gone hiking or mountain climbing, you’ve probably come upon a great rock formation that majestically towers toward the sky. Throughout history, rocks have been used as shelter from storms, protection from enemies, and even homes for some civilizations.

God used rocks throughout Scriptures to reveal who He is—creator, shelter from evil, protector from enemies.  Christ is The Cornerstone who was buried in a tomb carved out of rock, where He conquered death and became our eternal rock.

Give Him praise and honor this day for Christ is the rock of your salvation, your fortress of protection and your source of strength.

“I love you, Lord;
you are my strength.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the power that saves me,
and my place of safety.
I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and he saved me from my enemies.
God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
God arms me with strength,
and he makes my way perfect.
The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock!
May the God of my salvation be exalted!”
Psalm 18:1-3, 30-32, 46 New Living Translation
