“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us. A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.”
1 Corinthians 12: 4-7 New Living Translation

My niece loves to tie-dye. This past summer she made shirts and shoes for her entire family. She dyed these shoes using a rag dabbed with colors of paint until she attained her desired effect and the colors were in the exact place she imagined. All the shoes were very different, yet the colors worked well together.

God created each of us in a similar fashion. While we are all constructed out of the same materials, He endowed us with a unique blend of colorful traits, strengths and spiritual gifts that make us the Master’s work of art we truly are. And our colors, with the help of the Holy Spirit, work together with those of other believers to create the perfect picture of Christ’s love that the world can’t help but notice. Through harmony in Christ we share the beautiful art of encouragement, hope, friendship, community, grace and love, all through the exclusive vibrant design that God painted in each of us.

Embrace the colorful gifts God has given you. Appreciate and respect all the diverse God-given colors in His people. Together with God’s blessing we can create a life’s painting that reflects Christ’s love for all mankind on this earth.

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.”
Ephesians 1:3 New Living Translation
